Beta updates
Checks use getwayfarer.org without sending your history or account details. Download the ZIP, close Wayfarer, extract into a new folder, and run Wayfarer.exe. Your AppData profile is kept.
Browser skins
Create or import your own browser skin
Skins sync with settings and travel in profile exports. CSS imports read supported color variables, such as --chrome: #e3eae7;. Website pages keep their own styles.
Account & automatic sync
Optional sync keeps destinations, browser settings and all Home Port customization across devices. Cookies, passwords, history, notes and reports stay local. Profiles are stored on Hamelton Software’s server over HTTPS, without end-to-end encryption.
Choose the complete profile to keep. Destinations, settings and Home Port will be replaced together. Both copies are backed up locally in your profile’s Sync Backups folder. If you want to combine them, export the local profile first, then manage it before choosing.
Changes upload shortly after saving; other devices check every 30 seconds. Offline changes remain local. Signing out keeps your profile. Manage device sessions and account deletion on the account website.
Home Port has blocks, themes, backgrounds, CSS editing and portable profiles. Use Customize Home Port on the page. Appearance reset preserves your blocks.
Bookmark a website to add it to your personal home port. Your journeys and notes stay on this computer.

Website compatibility
Standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript run in an isolated Chromium view. Use feature detection and responsive layouts: the sidebar changes the available viewport.

Remote pages have no Node.js or Wayfarer bridge access. Camera, microphone, geolocation and other permission requests are currently denied. Chrome extension installation and a public Wayfarer plugin API are not implemented.
Source layout
main.js owns windows, tabs and IPC. preload.js exposes the trusted shell bridge. renderer.js controls browser UI. library.js stores notes, journeys, history and preferences.
