Both use the same secure email-code flow. There is no password to create.

Get started in the browser

1. Open Account & automatic sync

In Wayfarer, open Settings and choose Account & automatic sync. Enter your email address and review the profile-storage notice, then request a code.

2. Check your inbox

Enter the six-digit code and give this device a recognizable name. A new email creates an account on successful verification; an existing email signs you in. Codes expire after ten minutes.

3. Sign in on your other device

Use the same email address in Wayfarer on each device. Sync runs automatically while the browser is open. Signing into this website alone does not sign the desktop browser in.

Two different profiles? You choose.

If your local profile and cloud copy differ, Wayfarer asks which copy to keep. Export a portable profile before choosing if you want your own backup. Sync handles the profile as a whole; it does not merge individual bookmarks or settings.

You can pause sync, sync now or sign out in the same Settings category. Signing out keeps your local profile.

What travels with you

Destinations and folders, supported browser preferences, custom skins, Home Port blocks, CSS, themes and embedded backgrounds.

What stays local

Browsing history, cookies, passwords, Journeys, Field Notes, feedback reports, site exceptions and imported toolbars are excluded from the synced profile.

You stay in control

Use the account website to download or manually upload a portable profile, review signed-in devices, revoke a device or delete the account. Website sessions survive reloads and browser restarts for up to 30 days between renewals. Rename or remove individual devices from Devices & account. Sign out on shared computers.

Prefer to stay account-free?

Open Home Port → Customize Home Port → Across devices and export a portable profile. Import that file on another device. Keep exports somewhere private: they can contain personal links, text and images.

Code not arriving?

Check spam and the email address you entered. Request a fresh code if the old one expired, and use the newest one. If it still fails, contact us with a description; never send the code.

PASSWORD VAULT · ACCOUNT WEBSITE BETA

Your logins, in a separate vault.

The updated account dashboard includes a password vault encrypted in your browser. Add, edit and search logins, generate passwords, import CSV exports from Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, and download encrypted backups. Review imports before they are saved.

A unique master passphrase unlocks the vault. Optional session PIN unlock is available after that first unlock and disappears when the page is reloaded or you sign out. Email login codes cannot recover a forgotten vault passphrase. The vault locks when the page is hidden or after five minutes without interaction.

This beta has not had an independent security audit. Browser autofill, automatic password capture and desktop/Android vault integration remain planned. Profile sync remains separate and excludes passwords.
