A small notification
The Update available badge opens Settings > Updates. Automatic checks can be turned off, and you can check manually.
WAYFARER · UPDATES
Stay current, at your pace.
A quiet update notice and a verified download for the Windows portable beta.
Verified before use
Wayfarer downloads the release ZIP, checks its size and SHA-256, and reveals the saved file. A failed integrity check prevents that temporary download being offered as ready.
Update the portable folder
Close the running browser, extract the complete new ZIP into a new folder and run its Wayfarer.exe. The existing AppData profile is reused. Do not replace only the executable.
Current limitations
Updates do not install automatically. The Windows beta remains unsigned. Android is a separate testing APK and does not yet use the desktop updater.
