Write wherever you are

Click Notes in the browser toolbar. Website notes attach to the page address, ignoring its fragment. Home Port and other built-in pages share a general notebook. Choose General notebook for thoughts that belong to no particular page.

Collect a passage in one click

Select text on a website, right-click and choose Save selection to Field Notes. Wayfarer adds it to that page’s note and opens the notebook. This is a plain text copy with the source address, not a complete page archive.

Find it again

Search All Field Notes by text or address. Click a result to edit it without leaving the current website, or Open source to return to the page. Current page switches the editor back to the page you are viewing.

Your notes, on this computer

Notes save automatically in your local Wayfarer profile. Export all notes produces a readable Markdown file. Individual deletion asks for confirmation. Notes are excluded from account profile sync; Journey snapshots include notes for their saved websites. Export important notes before moving to another computer.
